Dubai is the most populous city in the United Arab Emirates. It is located on the southeast coast of the Persian Gulf and is one of the seven emirates that make up the country. Dubai was rated as one of the best places to live in the Middle East by American global consulting firm Mercer.
As of 2013, Dubai was the 7th most visited city of the world based on air traffic and the fastest growing, increasing by a 10.7% rate.
Dubai alone has more than 70 shopping centres, including the world’s largest shopping centre, Dubai Mall. Dubai is also referred to as “the City of Gold” as the Gold Souq in Deira houses nearly 250 gold retail shops.
Ski Dubai is an indoor ski resort with 22,500 square meters of indoor ski area. It is a part of the Mall of the Emirates, one of the largest shopping malls in the world. The indoor resort features an 85-meter-high indoor mountain with 5 slopes of varying steepness and difficulty, including a 400-metre-long run, the world’s first indoor black run, and various features (boxes, rails, kickers) that are changed on a regular basis.
Shopping malls offer almost all the brands that you can think of and you shop for the whole family with a very comfortable experience, as there are taxis inside of the malls itself. However, if you like to bargain it is best to visit shops in the streets known as “Souqs”, allowing you to purchase for the cheapest possible prices.
